This one was fine too. She slept the majority of the flight. We didn't have any turbulence at all which was lucky as we would have had to take her out of the cot.
It was 26C when we left Florida, and -5C when we landed.
We almost had to buy another bag due to shopping too much. Some people didn't think it would fit, but it did! 23kg weight limit, and us and Anne Marie had bags of 22.6kg, 22.4kg and 23.4kg. Just OK!
This is actually the first time I've ever done anything at the golf club, despite it being on our doorstep!
Elizabeth played this time, and she got a hole in one on one hole!
The fireworks at the end of the day are spectacular, and made even more so by having the castle lit up in changing colours behind them.
Elizabeth's favourite bit of the parks was the parades. She loved waving at all the characters!
Elizabeth on another ride. She enjoyed it more than it looks!
Animal Kingdom was quite quiet, so we weren't prepared for Magic Kingdom, which was packed. We still queued up to meet Tigger and Pooh though! (And other new character!)
Clare's cousin Sarah and her husband Alun live in Clearwater, not too far from orlando, so they came to visit for the day. We got to meet Sofia for the first time.
Elizabeth giving her cousin Sofia a kiss.
Clare, Anne Marie and I went to a water park for the day and left Elizabeth with Nanna and Pops.
Elizabeth got herself ready for swimming this time.
I think Elizabeth went on more rides than I did.
Especially from a Mickey mouse shaped bowl.
behind us is Expedition Everest, a new rollercoaster built inside a fake mountain. It's about 250 feet high, which makes it one of the highest peaks in Florida! (the highest is only 345 feet)
Just like the real thing! Landrovers, mud and animals.
That's a snake she is stroking. The keeper was a lot more worried about Elizabeth hurting the snake than the other way round.
Seeing as we couldn't go on the beach, we did a nature walk instead. Didn't see any wildlife, other than a big spider.
It wasn't the alligators we had to worry about though, it was the flies. The sand was covered in them, and clouds flew up wherever we walked. We didn't have our picnic there in the end!
I guess Elizabeth noticed the texture difference to a real dog, bu7t she stroked them just the same.
The first time I have ever seen proper skywriting. We think it says Jesus + U + God = smiley face
We originally thought the smiley face might be a donut, but a smiley face makes more sense.
Elizabeth's favourite pasttime when we were at the villa.
Pops looked after Elizabeth while we all did a round...
We were dreading the flight a bit, but in the end it was absolutely fine. Elizabeth fell asleep as soon as Clare sat down with her, slept through the take off, and the first hour or so of the flight. The captain came to see her as well!
